USES OF CARBON DIOXIDE (CO2) GAS AND LIQUID CARBON DIOXIDE BY INDUSTRY
Food & Beverage
Carbon dioxide (CO2) is used as a key cryogenic agent in cooling, chilling and freezing applications — protecting the taste and texture of your food products by maintaining proper temperature control. CO2 also reduces the need for preservatives in packaged products, and is an essential ingredient in carbonated beverages.
Healthcare
Carbon dioxide USP is used for insufflation and is often combined with oxygen or air as a respiratory stimulant to promote deep breathing.
Oil & Gas
It is well known in the oil industry that carbon dioxide can be applied to your reservoir as a tertiary oil recovery method.
